Cub Scouting in Obanshire
Welcome to our site. Here you'll find everything you need to know about the work of the Cub Scout movement in Obanshire. We believe in helping young people to reach their full potential and becoming positive, active citizens.
Cub Scouts are open to girls and boys aged between 8 and 10½ years old. The Scout Association provides adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for 400,000 young people aged 6-25. Internationally, we have over 28 million young people enjoying the benefits of Scouting across 216 countries.
Personal development means promoting the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being of the individual, helping them achieve their full potential. In Scouting, we believe that young people develop most when they are 'learning by doing,' when they are given responsibility, work in teams, take acceptable risks and think for themselves.
If you are interested in getting involved in the scouting movement, see our information page. We always welcome new cub scouts and can help you find your local pack. Obanshire Cub Scouts also welcomes volunteer helpers - whether you have a child enrolled in the scouts or if you just want to give something back to your local community.
